The Ex-Im Bank subsidizes large American manufactures like Boeing who pass that money on to the rich people who run the company and to the slightly less rich people who own their stock.
In other words, it is a little drop in the corporate welfare bucket. But Boeing employs a lot of union members. As a result, members of both parties support the Bank.
But here's what The Hill has to say:
House Republican centrists teamed up with Democrats Monday night to force a vote on reviving the Export-Import Bank, outraging conservative opponents of the agency.
Huh? That means that opposing corporate welfare is simultaneously "left-wing" and "right wing"!
Politics is not a spectrum!
