Jeb Bush said this:
“Our message is one of hope and aspiration,” he said at the East Cooper Republican Women’s Club annual Shrimp Dinner. “It isn’t one of division and get in line and we’ll take care of you with free stuff. Our message is one that is uplifting — that says you can achieve earned success.”
Since graduating college, here's Jeb's non-political "earned success" (and here):
1974-1979: Banker at bank owned by his father's best friend.
1979-80: Volunteered for his dad's campaign.
1980-1997 "Investor".
With zero experience in real estate and zero money invested, given a 40% share in real estate business by political friend of his father. Ended with $2.4 million.
2007-Present: Corprate Board member and "advisor". Ended with $27 million.
